Multiplication tables check centre
The multiplication tables check (MTC) is statutory for all year 4 pupils registered at maintained schools, special schools or academies, including free schools, in England. Schools must administer the official check between Monday 2 June and Friday 13 June. If required, schools can also use the following week, from Monday 16 June to Friday 20 June, to administer the check to pupils who were absent during the first 2 weeks or in case of any delays due to technical difficulties. The MTC service is where schools will prepare to administer the check. This can be accessed via DfE Sign-in from Monday 28 April 2025. Schools must generate a school password and individual pupil PIN within the MTC service before pupils are able to sign in to access the check using the ‘pupil application' To learn more about DfE Sign-in, click on DfE Sign-in after signing into your account or ask the DfE Sign-in help assistant.
